The International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts (IAFA) welcomes members to form caucuses and interest groups based on shared scholarly interests, professional affiliations, group identities, or specific areas of engagement within the fantastic arts. The Student Caucus of the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts (SCIAFA)
The IAFA’s Student Caucus is the collection of members currently enrolled and/or identifying as students at any level. This caucus meets during the in-person and virtual conferences to introduce new students to the broader organization and to address any issues students might have, related to the conferences or otherwise.

The Lord Ruthven Assembly
Devoted to the scholarly study of the vampire in the arts, The Lord Ruthven Assembly is the only organization officially affiliated with the IAFA. Its objectives include the serious pursuit of scholarship and research focusing on the vampire/revenant figure in a variety of disciplines. Members actively participate in the annual conference of the IAFA, offering several sessions of academic papers.
